Islamic Rites & Procedures
When you lose a member of your family or a friend the processes for completion of funeral rites can be both stressful and confusing. We at Haji Taslim Funerals aim to help you in ensuring that this is done efficiently and with the least amount of worry and distress to you.
Registering the death
The law requires that the family of the deceased should register the death which is done at the local register office and in most cases, where the death is considered a natural death, this is a straight forward procedure. If the death is being investigated by the coroner the procedure is slightly different and we will endeavour to help the family through this.Repatriation
If you wish is to repatriate your loved one to their country of origin, we would organise all the necessary documentation, coroner's out of England certification and embassy and consular paperwork where required. We also ensure that all the airline regulations are adhered to from providing zinc lined coffins for the repatriation to all airline documentation.Washing
The Islamic rituals of washing and shrouding a deceased person is a task that we undertake with great honour, dignity and pride. We encourage family and friends to help in this procedure, respecting at all times the sensitivity of what this involves. We have on staff brothers and sisters who are trained to complete the Islamic rituals and are always willing to complete the whole procedure or just assist if the family so wishes. We have two separate washing facilities for this purpose as well as viewing rooms for families to spend precious time with their loved one before their internment.Prayers
The prayers for your loved one can be organised at any mosque, or if you wish can be conducted graveside, at your home or any other suitable establishment. We will organise for the internment at any cemetery and work with them to ensure your requests have been adhered too.As the longest running Islamic Funeral Directors in the UK, we pride ourselves in conducting a complete and varied service, understanding that no two funerals are the same and trying to ensure that our families are helped, advised and comforted during this difficult and testing time. We pride ourselves in providing a professional service that reflects the diversity in the clients we help and the environment we live in.
